The Advanced Inventory Management module of IMAS provides additional and enhanced inventory control and order entry features, which are of special benefit to customers in particular industries.

The major features of the Advanced Inventory Management module include:

Batch and Serial Items: Stock levels of batch items can be maintained in inventory. Also, the sales history of batch and serial numbered items can be maintained for as long as you specify. This enables you to recall sales for a particular batch number or serial number.

Kit Items:
Collections of inventory items sold as "kits" can be maintained as separate entities on the system. You can define contracts, special offers and promotions for kit items.

Special Offers:
This feature allows you to offer numerous discount rates, discount value combinations, extra quantities of ordered items, or bonus items. Qualifying for a special offer can be by order value or order quantity.

Price Lists: Price lists can be printed by customer or item. This list shows the effect of price changes, promotions, contract prices and special offers.

Multi-locations Items: Stock levels can be tracked in as many warehouse locations as you desire. Default picking and receiving locations can also be defined

Tied Orders: You can tie selected lines on customer backorders and forward orders to an outstanding inventory order. When stock for the tied inventory order is received, Inventory & Purchase Order Management holds the quantity needed to fill the tied order separately.

Concurrent Stocktaking: You can conduct as many concurrent stocktakes as you need. 'Stocktake definitions' specify the areas of inventory for each stocktake.

Flexible Stock Allocation:
When all unfilled orders cannot be supplied with stock, you have a choice of methods by which to allocate the stock. You can automatically fill customer orders according to customer priority, quantity ordered or date ordered.

The Advanced Inventory Management module also enhances some of the standard functions provided by the Inventory & Purchase Order Management and Order Entry & Invoicing modules:

Inventory & Purchase Order Management:
· Shipment receipting worksheet
· Multiple suppliers for an item
· Supplier performance reporting l Inventory movements inquiry and report
· FIFO costing
· Concurrent stocktakes

Order Entry and Invoicing:
· Minimum invoice surcharge
· Invoice total discount
· Pricing by warehouse
· Price Inquiry
· Immediate print function for picking slips and invoices
· Optional consolidation of backorders for a customer
· Order search inquiry

Note: IMAS Inventory & Purchase Order Management is a prerequisite for installing Advanced Inventory Management.
