The Cross Application Support module is the foundation of IMAS, performing the tasks that ensure your system runs smoothly, efficiently and securely.

FEATURES:

Menu System:

The IMAS menu system is a high-level, easy-to-use facility that incorporates sophisticated and flexible security features. You can:

· Specify who is able to access the menu options, so that users can only see the options you allow
  them to use.
· Adjust the supplied menus to suit individual user needs and your company's organisation.
· Add other applications to the IMAS menu system.
· Record every time any user selects a menu option.

Multiple Companies:
Facilities are provided to support a multiple company processing environment. You can automatically create the files and libraries required for a new IMAS company. Each company may use different IMAS modules.

Because each IMAS company uses a separate data library, the number of independent IMAS companies you can create is limited only by the storage capacity available on your AS/400 system.

Flexible Tax Facility:
A flexible tax facility is provided that caters for many different tax systems including goods and services tax (GST) and value added tax (VAT).

Online Help:
Online help is the set of information and operating instructions available when you press the Help key or F1 at your workstation.

Cross Application Support contains a utility for converting Office Vision documents into online help. You can also use Office Vision and this IMAS utility to change the supplied help text, so you can tailor the help text to your organization's requirements.

If you install your own programs in your IMAS system, you can set up help panels for them which work exactly the way the supplied online help does.

Flexible Date Format:
Date formats can be specified by the user and the change in century is catered for.

Sample Company Data:
IMAS provides you with a complete training system for your users. You use the sample company data when you complete the supplied tutorials. This company can be used to train new staff and test supplied, but as yet untried functions, tailored functions, functions created and designed by your company.

Integrated Day End:
Cross Application Support gives you the ability to run an integrated day end with a single option. This option runs the daily processes for all installed IMAS modules, and ensures that all interface transactions are applied in the correct sequence. You can also schedule the day end operation so that it runs after business hours, the system is available when users need it, and you do not need operators on hand to run the close of day procedures.

Recovery/Restart:
IMAS uses commitment control/journaling to ensure data integrity. Also, long processes, which have been interrupted, can be restarted without any recovery.
