IMASPOS is a fully integrated Point of Sale solution which interfaces seamlessly with IMAS Corporate Software. Most Point of Sale solutions concentrate only on the retail aspect and are unable to interface to the organisation's business and accounting systems. IMASPOS incorporates technology that runs PC based Cash Registers interfaced with the IMAS Software running on the back-office IBM server.

IMASPOS includes all the functionality expected of a Point of Sale solution such as scanner and keyboard inputs, screen displays, receipt printing, cash drawer control etc. A significant advantage in the system is that all software and setup changes are made centrally in the back-office IMAS Software, and downloaded to the retail outlets during synchronisation. This not only increases accuracy but also reduces time spent by retail outlet staff on system maintenance enabling them to focus more on customer service. The synchronisation can take place online or in batch mode depending on the communication infrastructure. The advantage being that it can work in stand alone mode and synchronise with the host through a telephone dial up process or over the internet - convenient and cost effective.

At Cash Register Level: IMASPOS front-end software is installed. Utilities to connect with the host are set up and synchronisation is automated if required. The software handles all retail related functions and interfaces with IMAS Software.

At Host Level: Since IMASPOS is a fully integrated module of IMAS Corporate Software, utilities to interface and exchange information with the host are provided. All transactions generated at the Cash Registers are captured by the host through the synchronisation process and updated automatically in all the relevant modules of IMAS Software, providing complete consolitdated data for reporting and inquiries.
